Kati Curtis

Kati Curtis is the founder of Kati Curtis Design, a full-service interior design firm with offices in NYC and LA. Classic design with global influences is the perfect description for the interior decoration style of this exceptional young designer. The company’s portfolio of work includes historic restorations, contemporary renovations and new construction projects.

Kati is a graduate of the Savannah School of Art and Design (SCAD) and has spent over 12 years working in international architecture and engineering firms on both the East and West Coast. Her professional path has led her to the upper echelons of the interior design community. Kati has been featured in the New York Times, Architectural Digest and the Financial Times, as well many other prestigious publications.

Her latest project as the designer for the main staircases and for the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse this past month drew rave reviews from journalists and visitors alike. She chose a hand-painted de Gournay wallpaper and Italian glass figure chandeliers to bring her theme ‘The Path to Enlightenment’ to life.

We first met Kati when she was a style spotter for the High Point Market Authority in 2014, and she chose our Carrera Cabinet as one of her picks. She was a delight to bring around the showroom as she has a great appreciation for craftsmanship, finishes and intricate detail. The designer style enthused about the brand: “John Richard delivers their signature hand-finished quality in many of their new offerings, which make them a go-to for our projects. Details we love that are on-trend like the use of geodes as hardware, églomisé, gold metal finishes, and the use of agate and crystals add interest in new and unexpected ways.”
